Amanda Bynes was seen in public for the first time on Wednesday after spending three weeks in a mental hospital.
The 37-year-old actress was seen getting her nails done at an agency in Toluca Lakes, California, and a source told Dailymail.com that “she was advised to continue to distance herself from ex-fiancé Paul Michael.”
The Thousand Oaks, Calif., native was spotted at Cosmo Nails, and witnesses said she smoked a cigarette while waiting for an Uber after her manicure.
On Tuesday, Bynes left after three weeks in a psychiatric hospital. She reportedly worked with staff at the facility to determine she was ready to return to normal life.
“Amanda has left the facility on her own accord,” a source told Dailymail.com on Thursday. “She has been very cooperative and involved in her recovery and staff support her decision to leave as she has successfully completed her treatment plan. ”

Bynes was “advised to continue to distance herself from her ex, Michael,” the source said, adding that “her family and friends believe her breakup was the catalyst for her breakdown and that he was not a healthy and safe person to be around.” . ‘
The source went on to say that the former pair were “codependent, and the second half of their relationship was toxic, partly because they met in rehab.
“They replaced their dependence on each other with dependence on substances.”
Now, Bynes will enter an outpatient treatment program to ensure she maintains the progress she has made while undergoing treatment. She is also back to normal, as she will reportedly return to live in her own home.
Bynes had previously been under supervision since 2013, but it ended last year, so she will regain more freedom to make her own decisions.

Bynes reportedly wandered the streets of the greater Los Angeles area for four days after his car was towed in Long Beach on March 15 and was most recently hospitalized.
During that time, she was clearly in a manic state, walking around naked for a while.
Amanda was reportedly spotted walking naked the day she entered the treatment facility, but a witness told TMZ that the “She’s the Man” star had pulled over a car for help.
She was apparently aware of her mental state and called 911 to report that she was recovering from a mental illness and needed help.
After she was picked up, Bynes initially received 72 hours of psychiatric treatment, initially extended while her team at the mental health facility worked out a treatment plan for her.
Amid her mental health concerns, Bynes’ parents banned her ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, from having any contact with her after their four-year relationship ended in January.
An insider told DailyMail.com on March 28, “They don’t want her ex-fiance around her and have instructed him not to contact her.”
