Vaccination against Covid-19 in the health sector

The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County offers three approved Covid-19 vaccines.

Locations include:

• 775 Harley Strickland Blvd., Suite 110, Orange City

•123 W. Indiana Ave., Room 1010, DeLand

PCR testing is by appointment only for symptomatic individuals and those who have been exposed to Covid-19.

The Bridge4Hope group provides support for people who have lost loved ones to opioid overdose.

Halifax Health will be hosting the Live Your Life Well Healthy Living series at the Port Orange Family YMCA, 4701 City Center Parkway, Monday through May 29th.

Halifax Health hosts a 4-week series of events to help mothers prepare for labor and the delivery process.

Course fees for the 4-week series are $40 per couple. Includes childbirth tour.

The South Daytona Lions Club offers free diabetes screenings on the first Saturday of every month from 8 am to 1 pm at All Aboard Flea & Farmers Market, 5005 S. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange.

Atlantic Arts Center

The Atlantic Center for the Arts will be hosting an Arts and Wellness Academy at Harris House, 214 S. Riverside Drive, Friday, April 14th through Sunday, April 16th.

While at the Academy, participants will learn about ACA’s organizational culture of public engagement that connects the arts to community health. The Academy is taught by ACA Ambassadors, staff and invited guest leaders in the arts and wellness fields. The fee is $125.
